The name "Image Ecology" is inspired by Gregory Bateson's book, Steps to An Ecology of Mind. He describes language as an ecosystem where meaning is created in every interaction. I work with words (language) and images (symbolic language) to create meaningful and evocative communication materials. The seed of an idea spreads quickly through the human ecosystem when a community can identify with the way it is expressed.

I am developing a new version of my web site. New content will be posted soon; I'm still working on making it all look nicer than the default Drupal install.

A series of three posters for MindBodyLove (www.mindbodylove.org) proved so popular at a recent community building retreat that they were being stolen from the walls and bulletin boards. Very flattering - a larger print run of these pieces is definitely in order!
